Jimmy Shane and the HomeStreet Bank sponsored Miss Madison Racing team's Miss HomeStreet secured the 2017 H1 Unlimited Series High Points Championship Sunday afternoon at the HomeStreet Bank presents San Diego Bayfair.  The championship is the 8th for Miss Madison team and 4th consecutive.  It is Jimmy Shane's 5th consecutive Driver's Championship. U1 Miss HomeStreet's 2 race victories at Seattle and the APBA Gold Cup in Detroit along with consistent performance, completing every competition heat in the season, were key to securing the championship.

Jimmy Shane in U1 Miss HomeStreet and Andrew Tate in U9 Delta Realtrac traded 1st and 2nd place finishes in preliminary racing Saturday at the HomeStreet Bank San Diego Bayfair.  Tate grabbed lane 1 and took the win in Heat 1A while Shane was able to turn the tables in Heat 1B winning from the inside.  At the end of the day, the National High Points lead remained at 299 for the Miss HomeStreet.  Two more preliminary heats and the winner-take-all final for the Bill Muncey Cup are set for Sunday and the 2017 National Champion will be determined by day's end.

Miss Madison Racing claimed their 4th APBA Gold Cup victory on Sunday, August 27 at the Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Hydrofest. It was the 3rd Gold Cup win for driver Jimmy Shane. Saturday Update: Albert Lee Cup @ Seafair

The U1 Miss HomeStreet driven by Jimmy Shane took a 4th and a 1st place in Saturday's preliminary heat races.  Jimmy led on the water in Heat 1B, but was penalized 1 minute for not maintaining 80 m.p.h. while scoring up for the heat.  Miss HomeStreet bounced back with a convincing flag to flag win from lane 2 in Heat 2B. The U1 Miss HomeStreet was top qualifier at 148.975 m.p.h. going into Saturday's racing. The 3rd round of preliminary heats is scheduled to begin at noon Sunday with the winner-take-all final heat scheduled for 4:45 p.m. PDT (subject to change).
